I have mint. installed the server, but unlike on a mac i’m not seeing an actual app to add libraries etc. I can see the lib files, but no GUI. I installed from the plex downloads page. Whats missing??
The Plex Media Server doesn’t have a classical UI (windowed app). The server comes with a bundled web app which you can access via http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same machine (or the respective local IP address while you’re on the same network/subnet).
After you’ve finished the setup and linked the server to your account, you can also access it from regular Plex clients (e.g. the hosted web app or the Linux desktop client).
PS: from what I remember, Mint isn’t officially supported as there’s some known quirks where the OS is limiting features/capabilities for the media server.
