Live TV Android Client Playback Issue

Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#: 9.10.1.36024
Tuner Make/Model: WinTV-dualHD
Guide/Lineup name: Local Broadcast Listings (78 channels)
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: Multiple

I am unable to play multiple channels on my Pixel 7, Nvidia Shield 2017 and Nvidia Shield 2019 unless I change it to “Convert Automatically”. Since there are no settings for Live TV to specify to direct play or transcode this is quite annoying. I am on the same network as my Plex Server.

I have experienced this problem since I added a tuner to my Plex server last month and have seen it occur across multiple Plex server and client updates.

I see the following errors in the console when attempting to play live tv from an android client:

EDIT:
Based on the last error showing an issue with subtitles, I checked my profile’s subtitle settings. They are:

Looking at my other profiles without the issue and it appears the “English subtitles always enabled” is where the issue is.

When trying to view Live TV with the current settings, the video/audio never play and the play button is shown. When I go to change the subtitles, it shows NONE is selected. This appears off as when I go to to convert automatically (transcode) in order for the channel to play, it will sometimes show a CC box titled “@@@@@FOX@@@@@” and will not disappear. It will only go away when I change the subtitles to “UNKNOWN (closed captions)”.
Another symptom is when I try to play a channel and set the subtitles to “UNKNOWN (closed captions)”, the channel will play fine without transcoding." This makes me believe it is trying to select an invalid subtitle and is causing the channel not to play.

Are there settings with the Live DVR where I can disable closed captions while maintaining my subtitle preference for all other video sources?
A nice feature to add would be to add additional settings users’ profile specifically for Live DVR such as direct play, transcoding, and subtitles…
