Live TV buffering on 1.16.5.1488, does not buffer on 1.16.3.1433

Plex Server: 1.16.5.1488 on Linux
Plex Client: Roku 6.3.13

Upgraded to server beta v1.16.5.1488 and found that after 30 seconds of Live TV play using direct stream it then buffers for one long period. The client screen goes to the spinning wheel, and sits at 33% for approximately 20 seconds, then it plays.

A screenshot of the network activity shows that network activity from PMS stops for the period of time of the buffering under v1.16.5:

I downgraded to 1.16.3.1433 and the problem goes away. Running v1.16.3 the network traffic is more consistent with no dropout:

I can upgrade, recreate the issue, and PM the logs once I know who can look at this.

Thank you!

I’m seeing the same thing, and continuing on 1.16.6.

I use Apple TV and been having the same problems With live TV it will buffer every 10 to 50 seconds for about a second or two. (With a weak signal). Just tried it today I went to settings and enhanced video player I still have hiccups that lasted probably a half a second or less I also tried to rewind 10 seconds of Live video and that also seems to help.
I have windows 10 using Hauppauge win TV on Apple TV. STILL NEEDS TO BE BETTER

Plex just released a beta PMS this morning that addresses live TV, so if you’re ok testing with the beta, you may want to try updating your server today.
