Hi I am trying to get the live TV with a TVButler Stick in Plex to work. I saw this was a problem in some post earlier. But I could not see if and how these problems have been solved.
As mentioned I have a Synology DS216j. The TVMosaic Software is running and working. Over cable it has found about 125 tv channels.
As the TVMosaic will not work under Synology DSM 7.0, I am looking for alternatives and found Plex Media Server. But I can only use it, when Live TV by cable with TVButler Stick will be possible.
In Plex it finds the TVButler Stick, It shows also a list of local DVB-C Providers (it’s about the same list like in the TVMosaic Software), but after choosing a provider, it beginns to search and after a little while it returned with the message ‘no channels found’. It doesn’t matter which provider I choose, it is always the same.
In TVMosaic I could enter the information about the frequency, symbol-rate, network id and that stuff manually (as mentioned form the DVB-C Provider), and it found then all the free tv channels. In plex this seems not possible, at least I have not found an option like this.
I would like to buy a plex-pass but as long as Live TV doesn’t work for me, it would be lost mony for me.
Enclosed is the ‘Plex Tuner Service.log’ File. I see, there are some entries with an error.

But could not figure out what does these errors mean, because the stick is working proberl with the TVMosaic software on the Synology.
