The set-up wizard will not find the Clearstream TV tuner - which is listed as a supported tuner. I can see that the tuner is on the same network (see below). I have tried manually inputting the address and hostname. Anyone have suggestions?
I’m having the exact same issue. I can access Clearstream through the Roku app and the app on my iphone but can’t get Plex to recognize that it’s even there through the “setup wizard” lol. Glad it’s not just me. Hopefully someone will have a solution!
Clearstream released a software update on 4-1-2019 that resolved the issue. The update is installed by connecting directly to the Clearstream device’s own wifi signal- just as the initial setup was done. Once updated, I also had to setup the network wifi password again.
Can you please post the version of the software? I can’t get this to work either. There is no option to update the clear stream via the app on the iphone, and it wouldn’t make sense that it updated when connected to it’s own network during initial setup because it wouldn’t be connected to the internet at that point to download any new firmware. My firmware reads 1.1.0.402r1-V1, and this is not being detected by Plex.
Is there a firmware download somewhere? If you login to the Clearstream’s IP Address via a web browser, there is an option to choose a firmware file and upload it directly… but I have no idea where you’re supossed to get the firmware files from.
Have you tried contacting Antennas Direct directly? www.antennasdirect.com - there is email, phone and chat support. The firmware version is 412 that is needed for the device to be discovered by Plex. They can provide the firmware directly to you to upload via the devices IP address if you are not able to locate the option within the app.
There are still a few app updates pending review approval by the individual app stores, which is why you may not be seeing the Software Update option for all. It is available currently for Android.
The iOS app has been released. It now supports the update to the software which will allow Plex to discover the Clearstream TV and allow for Live TV and DVR
