This is the worst thing about Plex. You kindly file a report as nicely as you can and a month later you’ve not even got as much as an acknowledgement that your report was even looked at. I honestly would pay twice as much (or more) if I could get decent Support for Plex, because then I wouldn’t have to have a backup option for when Plex just can’t do the things it should do.

Plex Live TV gracenote is missing ‘matches’ to the channels in image. zip 71115 and 71101 tried with same results. In Chicago, we have some new low power stations that are not yet in the Live TV EPG.
Information for plex server: USA/60532/Lisle, IL/server version 1.32.8.7639/epg local broadcast listings 120 channels.

Could you please add channels 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 to the EPG?

3.1 is NEWSNeT (from Bridge News)
3.2 is SNHtv (from Bridge News)
3.3 is ShopHQ

Issue

Thank you for the update. The EPG UI is not friendly, where I had to add multiple zip codes and pray that they have the channels I need to complete the TV listing. I literally spent 5 hours looking at Google Map and entering multiple zip codes (literally, major cities in the USA, not just the West Coast) in Plex. So far, I couldn’t complete the TV listing. This has been frustrating, and I believe this UI and workflow should be improved.

What zip codes should I enter to complete the TV listing? Thank you so much for your time and help!

How to produce this issue

1. Go to Live TV & DVR under Manage
2. Click Set Up Plex DVR
3. Select Antenna, Select US, Enter 95054 zip code (returns 48 matched channels)
4. Click Next
5. Click Add channels from another lineup/location to add 4 additional zip codes:
   • Long Beach (Los Angeles), CA - 90712 (1 matched channel)
   • Chico-Redding, CA - 95973 (2 matched channels)
   • Reno, NV - 89502 (1 matched channel)
   • Fresno, CA - 93704 (3 matched channels)
6. As a result, 55 out of 63 channels got matched.
7. I removed all the irrelevant zip codes because they are too far from me. Otherwise, the TV listing would display incorrect logos and shows.

Feedback for Plex Team

I feel the whole UX should be thoughtfully reviewed and improved.

• Channel Reporting: The current method of reporting missing channels through the forum is inefficient for both users and Plex support. Consider a more user-friendly and streamlined channel reporting system within the Plex interface itself.

• Manual Workload: The current process seems manual and tedious for Plex support to handle reported issues. Streamlining the reporting and troubleshooting process can alleviate workload and improve efficiency, leading to better responses.

Feature requests:

1. EPG Flexibility: Allow users to mix custom EPG data (local or remote) with Plex’s EPG, enhancing user control and overcoming limitations of the single-source system. Given the difficulty of manually editing the SQLite3 file for EPG modifications.

2. Channel Enablement: Allow enabling channels even without Plex EPG data, as confirmed by working on a regular TV. Advocate for user freedom to access desired channels beyond EPG availability.

Issue: There is no match for the channel and no listing that matches. It’s a straight simulcast of KWBQ. There is also no match/listing for KWBQ.

As a side note, using multiple listings when I set up the DVR is also not working. I used to do that as a workaround but then one day a few days ago the entire DVR listings showed up as “not found”. I deleted and tried to re-add the DVR and now it won’t allow multiple channel listings to be used.

And via ChannelsDVR guide (gracenote)

The old full time 4k fox sport (508) is available as K01ANZ, which now has the programming guide of 591 (Fox sports uhd1) and is regularly updated by gracenote.

Can;t really use the provided link - if I go to Perth TV Guide - All TV Show times, All Channels - 9Entertainment and on this I select Perth for the location and then click on channels, I get this channel list

There are no ultra hd sport channel names listed and furthermore this list does not give the channel numbers. To get channels added to a lineup - in this case it is this lineup Freeview - Perth (58 channels) I would need channel numbers and channel titles and also a url or pdf from the provider that shows these channel numbers and channel names for that region.

I did have another post recently of a number of Foxtel channels logos have gone dead. A few have been updated recently but still are a lot not working

The EGP for Local Broadcast Listings for USA zip code 88310 doesn’t include channels 21.1 (The CW) and 21.2 (MyNetwork TV). Please add them. They are KRWB-TV.

The EPG for zip 75022 (Dallas/Ft. Worth TX market) still shows 68.3 as GRIT. It became LAFF almost 2 weeks ago. There are obviously cascading changes as GRIT moved …

The EGP for Local Broadcast Listings for USA zip code 88310 for channel 10.2 (FOX) now always just says: Football action from around the NFL instead of saying who is going to play. I realize in advance it’s dynamic but it gets resolved well before the broadcast…and it’s not getting resolved to who is actually playing. It’s been doing that for the last 4-5 weeks now. You can look up who is actually playing by going here:

…so the data is available. The CBS station above always shows who’s playing correctly.

When I download that txt file I can see Fox Sports UHD1 under Foxtel - Sport.
This is how it looks for me:

I believe they are using the same guide data as they also have a lot of the Foxtel logos missing, as mentioned in my other post you have not got to yet.

This should all be added to the Foxtel - Perth guide, not the Freeview - Perth guide.
