Live TV Guide crashes to home screen Android

I am unable to use the guide whatsoever on Android. It crashes to the home screen every time. After Plex removed plugins, the only reason I bought it for, I started to use the live TV predominantly. So of course that went out too :crazy_face:. When it crashes it is still loaded but when I reopen it reloads the app.

This happened on both the beta and stable play store apps. Using stock Android 10 ,pixel 3, no root. Reloaded a bunch wiped cache and storage same result.

Not certain if your issue was the same as mine, but try the latest beta that was released on Tuesday (4/21). I had the problem and it related to a weird channel number description that Android couldn’t handle. In my case I had a channel number 33.1, that the EPG was loading as 33.1-1. The dash was causing crashes like you describe on all Android platforms. If I had unchecked that one channel no crashes.

The beta release yesterday resolved it after I sent them the logs of my crashing.

Thanks! Plex never responded to me. Beta fixed it! At least I know where to look if it happens again.

Just curious, did you have a channel description that included an odd character such as mine - like a 33.1-1 (instead of just 33.1) ?

Hi @okmrdan Sorry If I missed this forum post and thank you for raising. @slim26 provided me with some logs that helped me fix the issue and I will extend that thanks out to you as well since you did try to report.
