Live tv (hdhomerun) video goes black during commerical

Player Version#: latest beta - has been an issue for multiple versions
Tuner Make/Model: hdhomerun prime
Guide/Lineup name: fios
Using XMLTV?: no
Channel number/Name: all

I will send logging to tech that replies, please & thank you. (to plex devs, I was not able to send logs for last PMs, sorry again!)

The live tv & dvr changes (new layout, etc) seem to be working almost well enough to use plex on android tv again.

I am seeing an issue with certain commericals causing the plex video stream to go all black, but the audio keeps playing normally.

This does not automatically fix itself. Sometimse I can click back 10 seconds → forward 30 seconds, and it fixes itself. Other times the interface locks up and I cannot do that. Only way to fix is hit back and change to a different channel, then back to the one that had the issue.

Once this is fixed, it seems like I can reliably use android tv again. So, thanks to all plex devs who have put in work on the android tv version.

Please assist with fixing this issue as soon as possible as well so we can all start praising the quality of these apps again

Nevermind, still issues with playing stream after this. Stream dies, eventually crashes plex…

Didnt have network logging enabled. no idea how long it takes for this to actually happen to capture logs.

Also, issue commercials seem to be verizon fios commercials, so possibly related to encoding on those types is failing to switch back and forth with decoding?

playing same channel on windows ‘Plex Media Player’, stream has no issue.
same channel on Android TV Plex client, stream pinwheels and dies completely on the commercials.

I know its the weekend, can anybody just confirm this will be addressed?
