Howdy all. We recently moved into a new house and yesterday I finally got my Plex server (Windows 11) back on the network. However, I’m running into a problem streaming live TV from my HDHomeRun Flex 4K network tuner. Trying playback of any channel results in a spinner that final ends after 15-20 seconds with “Playback error - source is unavailable.” I get nothing no matter what endpoint player I use - AppleTV 4K, macOS, or directly via the web player on the Plex server itself. HOWEVER, I’m able to watch programming just fine using the native SiliconDust HDHomeRun player app on macOS. No issues at all. I can also stream my ripped movies from the Plex server just fine. The problem is isolated to the TV tuner.
I’ve tried deleting the DVR and re-adding it, and the Plex server sees the HDHomeRun just fine and shows that it’s online. It also completes a channel scan just fine. Plex simply won’t stream ANY channels from the HDHomeRun without generating that error. Does anyone have any ideas or insight into what might be going on here? It’s driving me bonkers!
