Since the rollout of the ability to watch Live TV from Android TV, I could not get it to work at all. When I try, it immediately errors on my Nexus Player “Playback has stopped because the connection to Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry”. I can’t figure out why this is and I’ve tried removing the tuner and re-adding. The tuner is on the same VLAN as the Nexus Player but different VLAN to the Plex server.
I created a thread about this a few days ago. Disable direct play functions on the Nexus player to force transcode.
Thank you! It seems like if I set Direct Play: Auto, Direct Stream: Disabled, that worked. The reverse did not.
