This problem has been occurring for several years.
The problem ALWAYS occurs when recording Live NFL Football on the channel referenced above. Fox provides two audio channels during their broadcast, English and Spanish. So, there is an audio selection available for the recorder to make.
I cannot find a way to force the system to select all audio tracks. If I could, then this would be a work around.
I cannot find a way to select english 100% of the time. If I did, this post would not be needed.
The only language setting that I know of is the Languages option under Settings.
I have checked the box “Automatically select audio and subtitle tracks” and then selected “English” in the “Prefer audio tracks in” dropdown box.
It doesn’t matter what the playback method is, the audio track is embedded in the .ts file.
I sure would appreciate some help on this.
Thanks.
Definitely a Plex bug. Fox NBC and CBS. Channel audio set to English on Android app. Even after toggling from Spanish to English, Spanish audio stays. This doesn’t happen on desktop. Using the HDhomerun. Tried multiple mobile devices, all in Spanish audio for those channels.
Well, it’s here again. After the latest PMS update, the Fox TV recording had no audio track at all! How can we get this scheduled to be corrected?
I find it humorous that we have a popup asking us (the user) if the issue has been fixed.
No popup for “Would you like to create a ticket to have this corrected?”. Or maybe “Please contact technical support at the support telephone number (###) ###-####”.
Or possibly, “Would you like someone from our support team to contact you?”.
You might try going to the DVR Schedule and deleting the recordings from the schedule that have audio problems and are set to record all episodes. Then go to the Guide and add back each episode as a single recording. It’s a pain in the butt, but it seems to be working for me so far.
