This is unfortunately still happening and it’s related to the EPG. For me it has been like this already for a few months, it’s jumping back to some point of the ended show, exactly when the EPG ends for the actual show. It’s happening in Windows client, Nvidia Shield’s Android client and web browser as well. Hope this is going to be fixed soon, though like I mentioned it’s an ongoing issue for months.
I have the same issue. I can play a channel for a few hours but it will inevitably cough up the “This live TV session has ended” without warning. Frustrating. I’m glad the ‘loop from the beginning’ bug has been fixed for me, but I get this abrupt TV session has ended error without fail.
I have just gave up, went with Emby, it just works, 6 months TV playback is still awfull, Now the Guide is awfull. The only bad feeling is i wasted a years subscription on Plex while they concentrated on adding useless features like Games rather than fix stuff that needs to be fixed.
Emby firestick 4k stick, andriod Mobile phone and webrowser, just works cant beat that.
Lads Give it up honestly i have tried everything let the developers add Somethink like a virtual dildo or something. for a year the TV on Plex was great, now i either get it in a playback loop on itself. packs up after 4 minutes or the guide just says the incorrect channel, 6 months of something i am paying for just simply broken. Maybe they could put the game cyberpunk on my plex box and everything would tie in nicely. Refunds Plex? at least project red did the decent thing. Its broke i dont want games fix the thing that is broke.
