I noticed a week ago or so, my Plex app live tv would shut down on my fire tv. A black box pops up and says (Error. An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection). It does this about 3 or 4 minutes past the hour or 1/2 hour depending on the program length. It shuts down every time there is program change on all my channels. You have to go back to the guide refresh the guide because it is still showing previous hour listings and then choose the current program for that channel. Then it shuts down again when there is a program change. Tried to install the previous app Plex Media Server Logs_2021-10-07_20-10-29.zip (2.3 MB)
version but it will not run. Starts to open then shuts down. Is this something I am doing wrong?
I am also seeing this exact same issue only on the Fire-TV 4K stick. I hope a new version for Fire TV is being worked on to address this.
Good to keep this thread alive, having the same issue with Android TV. Sadly, no one from Plex will care.
What does it take for the Plex Techs to acknowledge they are aware and working on it. My over the air broadcast are still shutting down about 3 minutes after the guide changes programs. If it comes on the half hour and there is no program change it works fine. I have included a video of the error happening. It comes like clock work every guide program change. You would think something that happens consistently like clock work would be easy to locate and fix. Also included my logs for that same time period. Plex techs please respond and see if you can fix problem it is very annoying and Iam getting tired of hearing my wife complain about it.

Agreed, it is after the scheduled time for the event to end.
I believe the android app is treating each “show”, individually as a “DVR event” which would stop the action and release the tuner,… instead of as a “live event” which should NOT release the tuner and continue playing the channel.
