Cannot playback live TV for last few months on my android device through app. If I use a web browser from phone it works.
This is the case on or off the home network. On home network it plays fine on if no transcoding is occurring.
Error message is " Error: An eror occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.
Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated!! thank you
I am also having this issue with the Plex Android app using Pixel 3.
Same here. Uninstalled app and reinstalled, no change. Still don’t work.
Been having this issue with CC with Google TV for 2 months now. Posted extensive logs, got crickets.
Went back and activated my ChannelsDVR account and guess what? Works flawless.
This is still an issue. Now the browser on my Pixel 3 phone also does not transcode live TV. The browser was working after my first post.
I can confirm that I get the same error when using the Plex Android App.
So long as I don’t attempt to transcode the video, I don’t have an issue. If, however, I try to change the video quality, then the session will fail and report “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”

Me Too, The only thing I can transcode is 640x480 station. Anything larger 720p 1080i gives me error.
I am using unraid and the official docker to a oneplus 9 pro.

I have found that the Android client is very picky about what bitrate Live TV & DVR will transcode at. If you try a few different bitrates it will probably work.
Same issue I have tried a bunch of different bit rates and no luck. Is anyone actually working on a fix?
