LiveTV reports "no parts" for one channel only

Hello all:

I have a PMS running on CentOS with two HDHomeRun tuners (a Dual and an Extend, each connected to a different antenna aimed a different direction and picking up (mostly) different channels.

Initially, it was able to tune and record content from any channel. One of those channels is my local CBS affiliate, which I used to record the daily news. It worked for a bit, but then I stopped getting recordings. When I try and manually watch that channel, I get an “unable to tune channel: no parts” error. However, I ONLY get it for that RF carrier (eg, CBS is 2.1, I get that with 2.2 and 2.3, but NO OTHER channels. The signal is one of the stronger ones on the tuner (its coming in on the extend tuner). I regularly watch other content from the extend tuner. I’ve rebooted both the tuners and the PMS multiple times, but cannot get it to tune that one channel anymore.

What gives? How do I fix it?

I am curious, is your channel 2.1 the first one listed in your directory? I am having the same issues with one channel, 4.1, first one listed in my directory. I can tune and watch all other channels but this one. It also fails to record from channel. I am wondering if there is a channel database error or corruption that happens after the server has run over 24 hours. I can fix my problem usually by restarting the Plex Server, but it only last a day or so.

Interesting idea. Yes, this is my first channel.

In my experience, restarting PMS does not even temporarily fix it.

Hmm…looks like no replies…

This and the other thread I started are making me happy I opted for a monthly plex pass. If the live TV actually worked, I would have bought an annual or perhaps even a lifetime, but at the rate things are going, I’ll have to find another solution.

Looking at other threads on the forums about “no parts” errors, it looks like its been an issue for well over a year, and no official reply and no solutions for the problem. Not good…

Yep same issue here. Latest server, updated Win10, hauppauge 22xx tuner with latest win10 drivers.
Trying to watch the first channel (TV1) listed Playback Error, Unable to tune channel (No parts).
Plug the cable into the TV and works fine.
If I disable the first channel (TV1) via the settings, the now new “first” channel (TV2) works fine.
Re-enabling the first channel… now they all work. Will see if the error returns.
