I just can’t figure out what’s going wrong here. I’m playing local content in 4K on a 4K AppleTV. I have gigabit internet and an Eero Mesh system. I have a “very good” signal to the AppleTV. I have verified that the content is in Direct Play through the dashboard while it’s playing. I can get about 10 minutes of a movie to play before it starts buffering, and then it will buffer off and on for about 2 minutes, then a little more no buffering, then more buffering.
I just can’t figure out what to do. I tried to download the Infuse app because I read someplace that it was better, but it has the same buffering issue. I can play anything in 1080 just fine, but 4K on Plex just doesn’t work. I can easily stream 4K over Netflix and other streaming apps, though I don’t know the bitrate differences.
Anyone with any suggestions?
