I have several extras for a movie. They follow Plex’s specified naming convention for subdirectories as shown at https://support.plex.tv/articles/local-files-for-trailers-and-extras/, but they are not being recognized. I added the extras to the appropriate folders, re-scanned the library files, refreshed the library metadata, and refreshed the metadata for the specific movie, and the extras still do not show up on the movie’s page.
That’s the one… well… there’s actually quite a lot of them
When you pick Movies, this will let you configure 3 default agents (+whatever custom agents you added to your setup):
Personal Media
Plex Movie
The Movie Database
Depending on what agent you’re using in your movie library… is Local Media Assets checked for that agent? (default movie library agent is Plex Movie)
I take it you added those extras after Plex had catalogued the movie and have since only tried to scan the library for updates.
Give it a try and click Refresh Metadata from the context menu of that movie… from what I understand, the local media assets are not so much processed by the scanner but as a source to the agent that handles the metadata of your media.
You are correct. The extras were added quite a while after the movie itself.
I have refreshed the metadata for the entire library as well as for that specific movie and the extras still aren’t showing up. I also tried completely deleting the movie from the library and then re-adding, but the same problem persists.
