Local Plex Server asking for Remote pass

Hello,
my first topic post.

i am running a plex server on my computer and trying to access media files on my phone within same network. (at home)

server is version 4.159.0

i use iphone and plex app is up to date.

router is Asus Rt-AX82U

the problem i have is that some times plex app on my phone ask for remote pass, and if i turn off wifi on computer and turn it back on, the phone app works fine and not ask for remote pass.

please help fix this.

  1. servers should only use one network connection. If your server is on a laptop, and you are moving it frequently around, switching between WiFi and wired connections all the time, you will have to stop and restart the server after such a network change (and potentially perform a “Switch User” operation on clients as well, afterwards).
  2. servers should use a wired network connection. (it doesn’t matter if your client(s) are wireless or not)

Further things to check: Client says it won't play from "remote server", although the server is local
