Local streaming has not worked for weeks now. I have a once of paid liscense to stream to my tablet only on my own connected network over wifi.
I have tried everything I can think of to fix it, but nothing is working.
I can see all my media on my device, but on each attempt it indicates a “source error” whatever that means.
I paid for the plex pass feature, but it made no difference. everything is updated to the latest version.
The source error has a fix now, update your player to 2025.16.0. You didn’t say what version you’re on but I’m assuming you’re on the new Plex Experience app. It seems it’s only available to install manually as it’s not out yet. Just search for the link to the .16 version, it was a comment by one of the devs.
I use the Plex Server on a desktop, It is the latest update as far as Im aware. The version on my tablet is also the latest available. I dont recognize a v2025.16.0 or older anywere on the website. Could you please asist with the link The only references I see to that version is people discussing it.
Or is it a seperate player from th web version with plex media server?
I’m not aware of the plex desktop version having this problem. Is your tablet an android?

I`ve always played directly from the media server of the my desktop over wifi when it still worked.

I`ve installed the update on my tablet. For now it seemed to have fix the issue. The media is playing normally
