Long Series Episode naming 001 - 289

Hi, I have the full series of DBZ on my server and plex is struggling to order the episodes. For each episode in the first 100 named from 001 - 100 it lists two files, episode 001 also shows reads episode 101. Is there any naming trick or anything I can do to fix this?

Cheers,

I think this currently is a Bug in PMS failing Series with episodes over 100.
I saw it reported somewhere…
Will Plex Fix It???
Your guess is as good as mine…
LOL

Jason,
SxxExxx format supports this. e.g Series - S01E204 - optional title here.ext

I do have shows with 100+ episodes per season. however, I’ve named them sXXe01-sXXe99 and only then shifted to a 3-digit episode number (sXXe100-sXXeYYY).

Thanks for the swift replies. So to clarify can I name all of the episodes s01 or do I have to break them up into random different seasons before they hit the e100 mark? Will it not work having 3 digit frame padding from 001 to 099? Should I go from 1-99?

Jason,
If you use a renaming tool it will address this.

FileBot, for example, will handle it with this naming rule /nas/tv/{n}/Season {s.pad(2)}/{n} - {S00E000} - {t}

{n} = Proper name
{s} = Season
.pad(2) = pad to at least 2 digits if/as appropriate
{s00e00} = SxxExxx as needed
{t} - Episode title.

You should try out the a solute numbering absolute agent with hama… No need to renumbered at all for anime shows
