That’s fine…
You have a problem with your network, and all I can suggest here, is to open a ticket with QNAP, since I’ve run out of bullets, sadly
This is not a Plex issue, IMHO

No, it is a Plex issue in that I originally just made a change to the Remote Access so that it would use “Manually specify public port” with the default value of 32400. After which I started getting the “Looking for server…” issue. I had no issue with Plex or network setup before this change (which I wish I didn’t make). It might be, at this point, that my network is a complication, but it wasn’t originally.
I will reach out to QNAP. Thanks
If you can’t ping outside, it’s a network issue!
Maybe, one more question. In Authorized Devices on Plex, I do not see QNAP./Plex. Shouldn’t I see this? Also, I notice that from web page I still get the “Looking for servers…” while the launch of Plex from QNAP finds a server (apparently) and instead has the unclaimed media server issue. Do you know why the two different instances of Plex would be different?
Due to it’s not claimed
As above
I guess if all else fails, I could just remove Plex from QNAP and then reinstall Plex. I assume this would just remove all metadata that I set up?
Thanks…
Nope…If your QNAP can’t access the Internet, then it’ll fail again, so in short, fix your network
I finally was able to connect QNAP to internet. Turns out I forgot that I changed to virtual switch and did not set up Default Gateway correctly. Once I connected properly to internet, I was able to claim server. So, thanks for your help and you were correct about network needing to get fixed.
