Lots of channels in the guide listed as 'To be announced'

same as traynier, if that tick box worked. we wouldn’t have a problem.

Same for me too. I don’t know if I speak for all, but for me that maintenance task must be working to a point as a number of my channels do update regularly and reliably without my intervention (though naturally not the ones that I would ever actually want to record from!).

To build on what rEs84 said, if that tick box meant that it did the same behind the scenes as when a manual refresh is initiated by the user we wouldn’t have a problem…

i did notice, my maintenance window is midnight till 6am.
Not know the other plex runs all the enabled maintenance tasks, as library’s get bigger and bigger, maybe its running out of time?
I’ve now set that to 1am till 7pm (when i’m 90% not going to be using plex), in case the tasks are forced stopped at end of window?

I also wondered if Gracenote is busy at midnight, if that’s all plex dvr users’s default time.

no change by increasing maintenance window.
as of now (thurs 9pm ish), i dont have past early hours of Saturday (for most channels, not all).

So manual button press here i come:(

Just a thought, i do have enhanced guide ticked.

Checking today, BBC1 is to be announced saturday onwards (tuesday today), rest channels are fine for the whole guide. Currently.

This problem still exists in 1.15.2.973. I currently have a TV Guide until Friday, and then 'To be Announced" everywhere in the guide. There are no reported issues with the guide on the status page. This is a bug in the PMS software, as reported by many users including myself an my mother. It is constantly re-creatable, I am uncertain why this has not been recreated and resolved by Plex QA and developers.

Can this be added to the backlog to be looked at please?

Server: 1.15.3.835 on Windows 7.
on my CBS,and NBC feeds have only about 12 hrs listed, and instead of “To be Announced” I have “Unknown Airing” , what is funny is that the MUX channels below those all had data . A manual refresh did fill in tonight’s listing so I can get a program recorded at 10PM PT. in the Reno, NV market. I will try the scheduling a refresh for 1AM and see if that helps. (Titantv has full schedules for the week)

Still a problem in 1.15.3.876. ‘To be announced’ all over my guide. What can I do to help Plex fix this please? Some actual response would be helpful. I’m a manager in an IT company who was previously a developer, and I am reaching out to Plex to engage with me to get this issue resolved. So, tell me, how can I help you diagnose the issue please?

works properly occasionally (not often at all), just checked and i can see Wednesday late night:)

i’m not sure if i miss recordings, as in by the time the day comes around its updated at least that day, or not (i don’t record or check it much). but its definitely rubbish to schedule not even having a reliable 7 day guide, let alone 14 day like lots of pvr’s.

I did pay for plex pass for this feature!
Pretty shocked by lack of concern by developers, lots of non useful new features popping up all the time.

I have the same problem and have done for many months. As with others, a manual refresh populates the guide, but that is a pain.

I’m in the UK, running Plex on an NVIDIA Shield.

Still a problem in 1.15.4.919.

The longer I go without response from Plex on this matter, the more I am looking elsewhere for a DVR that actually functions. The Wife is not happy, at all. Anybody know of a good alternative? How is Emby DVR? HDHomeRun DVR? I need something where you can actually schedule a recording, and then once scheduled, you know; it actually records. (My Plex crashes sometimes so even when I do schedule a recording after yet another manual guide refresh, it fails to record on many occasions).

Tvheadend a few friends are using. Works well and you can use a single tuner for all channels on the same mux/frequency.

So in UK you can record all/lots of the HD channels at the same time using a single tuner.

I had to get Channels DVR because of this same problem. I still use plex for movies and music but not for OTA DVR. I had tried using Shedules Direct for data importing an .xmltv file using EPG123 but that now throws out junk and I Have to rescan manually every week.
I suspect Gracenote is the problem but what to do about that?
Maybe if we all complain at this address:
http://support.gracenote.com/articles/Public_FAQ/Questions-About-TV-Data-Guides/?l=en_US&c=Public%3AConsumers&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&pn=1

Still broken as far as I can see; this is a real same as all other parts of PLEX work so well but this is just rubbish

Still not working consistently here either sadly.

Having same issue annoying because cannot schedule TV that I know is happening when in not at home

I two have purchased Plex for DVR

Same issue here, come on Plex. Please fix this. Cord cutting requirement is good EPG!

@elan Is there a plan when EPG is fully available again?!

Thanks for your post. This is an actually an old forum thread pre-dates the new EPG which came into effect at end of June

Please have a look at other forum threads. I would like to close this thread because it is for the old EPG

Threads for the new EPG can be found here

and here New EPG and release
There are other threads as well
We are working on the issues with our new provider to fix the problems and many have already been fixed.
