I’ve been using Plex and Chromecast for my music for a long time and last week I found out Plexamp was now available on Android, fantastic! Much faster and user friendly.
I would also love for it to be integrated with chromecast but I think there is an easy work-around for now: just go to Google Home, pick your chromecast speaker (or group of speakers) and cast your phone’s audio. Has been working very well for me so far.
The rewrite of plexamp is a great success, thanks so much for finally getting it done @elan! I haven’t stopped using it since the first 3.x release landed.
Please do consider adding the Chromecast support, it would make a great player even greater!

++1 for Chromecast. To be direct, I won’t use the app until it supports Chromecast. I’ll stick with Tidal when using portable devices.

Might as well pile on here… 
For my use, and those I know, casting (for me Chromecast) is a must before it makes any sense to use.
That said, you guys are really onto something nice here. I have traditionally used Play Music for my music consumption (Plex player is way too bloated for music on a phone for me), and I have to say I really think Plexamp would replace Play Music.
Chromecasting - The main gripe with it though when it did work in the MAIN Plex app was that it wasn’t able to incorporate any sweet fades or volume leveling (at that time properly). I really am hoping that sweet fades and volume leveling can be incorporated into chromecasting on the Plex Amp app for all platforms, that would be really cool. It hasn’t been such a great experience with the main Plex app but hopefully its doable in Plex Amp.

Downloaded Plexamp…it looked cool…realized there was no casting…instant delete. Will come back in a year again and check it out.

I do have chromecast audio attached to several amplifiers via Optical audio out mainly for use with Flac lossless audio.
I use Chromecast throughout my house have about 9 CCA, several Google homes and google minis now in the bathroom and kitchen.
Tonight I switched back to Plex web to be able to cast my music not ideal Pc is on and find am using it when should and rather be in bed.
In fact calling it a night on music will switch to an audio book that i can cast from phone with a different media app.

Another vote for Chromecast ! I am not really interested in listening to music through laptop speakers, so can’t use this app at present.

Another vote for Chromecast support / casting please. This is ESSENTIAL for an app like this to flick music from your phone to a reciever etc.

All this time and still no chromecast support… You forgotten how to inject the code as all your other apps have it? Something that could have been great is a failure due to not listening to your paying customers and using us as beta testers without saying so… Fail…

A great app without good output - I don’t really use my phone for music. I use my stereo… so casting is a must. Chromecast +1, and support Chromecast Audio as well - its the device I’d use, which would then stream through a DAC. This has worked well in the past - so I’d like to see iwth with Plexamp.
