Low video quality streaming trough my local Gigabit connection on the LG TV

Hello,

I just installed on my PC (W10 x64) Plex Media Server, I configured correctly (from my point of view), I added on “Other movie” library one of my personal movies folder, in the “Internet streaming” and “Home streaming” option in video quality is set on maximum.

My local network is on gigabit connection, My LG 49UK6470PLC TV is on wired connection trough a gigabit switch and my PC also is on wired gigabit connection in the same switch.

On my LG TV, I installed the TV Plex application, I logged in my account, I see the personal movies from Plex Media Server from my PC, but when it streames, it streames on a very low quality on my TV.

My files are in Mkv format, 6 GB each, 1080p quality and I want to play those files at 1080p quality

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to set up anything else on my PC/TV/Network?

Thanks,

Marian

Plex PC Server Version#: 1.18.3.2156
LG TV Plex Player Version#: 4.17.3
LG TV WebOS Version#: 4.1.4-5726

Resolved.

From Transcoder settings, i set up the “Very slow” option on the Background transcoding x264 preset setting.

Thank you.
