- You will probably find that the issue was with the iMDB/TMDB, more specifically not being able to reach them across the net. It seems to be happening with more frequency lately, but it normally resolves itself within 24 hours or so. Always check your logs when you have issues like this. They will usually point to the cause of the problem.
- That’s a question for the iMDB/TMDB I think. I have no idea why it would be selective without looking into your logs, but stranger things have happened.
I must admit, I am surprised that the Plex Dance worked on it’s own, I was expecting to see something quite different in your logs.
If Plex was still processing your Movies or TV Shows, then it may have been a case of the processor time being eaten up by the other processes and Plex not being able to complete the tasks for those particular files within the alloted time frame. Maintenance probably would have resolved that on it’s own though.
I did not include logs because I had rebooted the PC and the problem resolved itself. Would they still do any good??
I rebooted the PC after the problem resolved as it was time. I like to reboot every three or four days just to be on the safe side. I know it is probably not really needed but it seems to keep things running more smoothly that way and I believe that you cannot be too safe.
Thanks for your responses. Now if you could just explain the rest of the universe to me. I already know the meaning of life (42) but the remaining mysteries still need to be explained. Like “Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?”
