I know new clients are on their way, but that process is taking forever. In the clients we currently have, customizing the recommendations pages is broken in several ways and has been FOREVER.
If you go to a Collection and click the … to display it on Home or the Recommended page, the content of the collection disappears and you need to reload the client application.
If you click the … from outside the Collection and try to display it on Home or the Recommended page it does not take effect at all. Those menu items do nothing.
If you go to the Settings portion of PMS and the Manage Library Recommendations section there’s all kinds of problems. If you reorder the items for a particular library it may or may not match when you load the actual page. In addition, I reset the customizations with the provided button, which seemed to take effect, but loading the Library’s recommended page still shows one of my custom collections and I cannot get it to stop displaying, as it does not appear in the Manage listing at all. I even relaunched PMS and the issue continues: displayed on the Recommended page but not removable via any interface.
Clearly a huge amount of problems with just this feature, no matter how you go at it, which is why I assumed the issues were known and ignored. They’ve been in there for years now.
