When I let the Plex app manage the home screen automatically, the “Continue Watching” category shows up as it’s supposed to, but when I switch to manual mode, I can’t get it to show up, even though I’ve enabled the “Continue Watching” hub:
Thanks. I guess going back to an automatically managed home screen is the only solution right now. Will have to wait for Plex to fix their bugs.
Manually Managed Home is going away on April 22nd, so you’re best sticking with Automatic Home 
I also came here for this problem.
I updated all my android devices already and then the Home screens keeps changing i do the dance and it changes on update. I have reordered each client a few times in the last week, now continue watching is gone even when in the order list.
The server updates new recordings but the android clients don’t refresh without going in and out of the home screen many times.
As before with the older server plugins, i stayed on older software for a few years to keep things that were being removed. I am hoping i don’t have to do that again.
As auto home screen gives me all kinds of crap i don’t use and don’t let me order them to my liking. I think it is just a way for plex to force more of the content with their ads in it on you.
I noticed a movie i watched had a lot of ads, they would play the same ads twice and count is as one play.
I noticed they showed me many movies some from crackle and some without a source, but many were movies in my library. When i selected some of them it was ad city. Why would i play that one if the one in my library is ad free.
Disappointed so far with these changes will have to see where this goes.
Plex is great if you want to keep changing setting to get it to work again. I reset home page and then i had to enable pass through again. Not even sure what other settings got reset.
