Hello,
I recently tried to setup Plex Live TV and found that many EPGs for Germany are pretty unusable (for example lineup://tv.plex.providers.epg.onconnect/DEU-1000143-DEFAULT#Deutschland (erweitert)
). In the list in Plex only the last entry appears, see the screenshot below:

I did some research and found that the api returns the full list of channels, but the identifier for all entries is always 0. In another list that works fine the identifier is ascending.
<MediaContainer size="1183">
<Channel identifier="0" key="83854" thumb="http://...png" callSign="EUROREG" />
<Channel identifier="0" key="83893" thumb="http://...png" callSign="REGOBER" />
<Channel identifier="0" key="106108" thumb="http://...png" callSign="DMATHD" />
</MediaContainer>
Can this be fixed quickly please?
As a work-around you can change the provider and manually adjust the channels (like I did with my SAT-Receiver).
this is basically like this ‘forever’ and there seems to be no interest in fixing this.
the only workaround is the one mentioned bei fabian above.
How hard can it be to fix that? @kinoCharlino or @BigWheel can you maybe help and prioritize that?
@“Fabian Heim” currently as a workaround I’ve selected another provider that works fine, but the problem with this one and any other one is that those doesn’t contain all the channels I want to have, and the complete list of all channels unfortunately is broken.
These are issues that we need to resolve with our EPG provider, Gracenote. We will be filing issue tickets with them directly. They don’t work with end-users, so we do have to pass on the reports to them through their internal ticket system.
why not finally implement reading the over the air/cable epg? at least here it is much better than the gracenote stuff anyway.
from the very beginning gracenote has never really worked. if there were improvements over time they took forever and the quality still is just bad.
for example take consistency: for the terra x series there are episodes with SxxExx, some, with YYYY-MM-DD, some with only MM-DD and some have no number at all. some have descriptions and some don’t. the year 2018 is the worst with over 100 episodes without a description.
