Massive Stuttering & Transcoding Failure Suddenly That's Actually Direct Playing

Server Version#: 1.32.6.7371
Player Version#: WebOS 3.9.0

The video stutters like crazy and doesn’t play any audio. The TV is an LG 55UJ6200 (UHD). It’s DTS-HD capable so the audio isn’t an issue. I thought it might be an issue with the High@L5.1 video profile, but it has played these files fine before and FHD movies with that profile work flawlessly without saying they are transcoding.

It says the LG TV models from these years are capable of up to AVC High@L4.2 for FHD and AVC High@L5.1 for UHD. It seems to only be the High@5.1 files from my show Archer in FHD that are affected right now. All other episodes work fine, but like I said, similarly setup movies work fine. I would think it would be transcoding if not fully supported.

Getting this error…
Unable to find client profile for device; platform=webOS, platformVersion=3.9.0, device=webOS 3.9.0, model=55UJ6200-UA

Everything is showing as direct play…

Anyone from Plex?

Now getting constant “Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.”

Except, there’s nothing transcoding…

On a Synology DS920+

Ignore the client profile error. Plex no longer uses them for many devices, including LG TVs. However, the server still logs an error when one is not present.

The logs show the buffering, but there is no indication of why it is buffering.

If only Archer files, then consider obtaining another version. The files may be poorly encoded.

High@5.1 is overkill for 1080p. Blu-ray 1080p rips are High@4.1, and High@4.0 will handle 1080p@30fps.

Play the movie w/o subtitles. Do you still get the error?

There is a subtitle bug fixed in 1.32.6.7468, the current beta:
(Transcoder) Unexpected behavior when subtitles ended before the end of video (#14426)

This could be two different bugs.
