Match incorrect for Battlestar Galactica (2003) specials

For some reason plex matched the overall series correctly and matched the season 1 correctly, but the specials in season 1, it mismatched as the 2006 mini series.

filenames:
S00 E01 - The Miniseries (1).mkv, runtime 1 hour 34 minutes
S00 E02 - The Miniseries (2).mkv runtime 1 hour 29 minutes

It identifies them as:
S00E03| The Story So Far |August 13, 2006, 45 minute runtime

S00E23| The Resistance (1) |September 5, 2006, 3 minute runtime

when it should be:
S00E01| Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries (1) |December 8, 2003, 90 minute runtime

S00E02| Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries (2) |December 10, 2003, 90 minute runtime

Make sure to check your show is using that ordering. IIRC the episode ordering for this show is quite different on TMDb and TVDb (with yet another order on TVDb for aired/DVD order).

Due to TMDB and TVDB listing these shows differently we have two variations of these in Plex.

So just go to “Fix Match” on the show and make sure you’ve selected “Battlestar Galactica (2003)” as shown below:

That’s perfectly in line with how the metadata is organized on Plex. The Movie Database has organized the Mini Series as a separate show (see 2nd link in drzoidberg33’s post → Battlestar Galactica (2003) instead of Battlestar Galactica (2003) (2004)).

Ok I see now that it’s matching with the TMDB which means I need to take the files and move them to another series folder.

I moved them then I had to also rename them from S00E01 to S01E01 otherwise they matched with a special of that 2003 series which isn’t correct. Very confusing
