Plex Media Server Logs_2019-05-06_18-57-53.zip (7.0 MB)

I was on a windows 7 machine when this started. As of last night, I installed fresh, windows 10. The media is the same but no databases or backups were made in hopes to fix this problem.

After installing PMS and letting it scan my media, it is able to identify all movies by name but it isn’t downloading any additional metadata or associated posters for some movies.
If I “fix match” it will find the correct content and after selecting the top result, it will download everything normally. This seems to be happening to a large number of my movies.

I have a feeling this has to do with the metadata in my local movie files but it’s just a feeling.

Sorry about the verbose logging. I wasn’t able to find where that option has moved to.

Settings → General. Click “Show Advanced” to see logging options.

Edit: FYI, your log settings are OK. Verbose is not enabled, just Debug.

What are your Agents settings for movies?

Agents -> Movies -> Plex Movie

  • Move Plex Movie to the top. Click gear to the right and select desired options.
  • Uncheck Local Media Assets (Movies).

Agents -> Movies -> The Movie Database

  • Plex Movie and The Movie Database should be the top two options.
  • Uncheck Local Media Assets (Movies).

Refresh Metadata for one or two movies as a test. If works OK, then refresh the entire library.

If it still doesn’t work, try Plex Dancing one or two movies.

Thanks,

After plex finished the first pass, I refreshed all metadata and that seems to have fixed it this time. I have no clue why.

I also tried what you said earlier but I’m also not really sure what the difference is between those options.
