Server Version#:1.78.2.3975-c5bd0cbb
noticed a few days ago that newly added media is not matching metadata on new files.
(but previously added shows are finding metadata with new episodes)
i have a few options ticked under settings>agents but when manually matching file it only gives the option of “Plex Movie” in the Agent drop down for both TV and Movies.
“Auto Match” only has “Plex Movie” & when i try a manual search if does nothing. auto search results in a red message saying “No matches were found using this agent”.
not sure if its related but i did try to manually change a shows info to the correct release date but it refused to save the changes.

What’s the version of PMS you have installed on your server? The version you posted looks like that of a desktop client…
The server-wide agent settings (Settings > [Server Name] > Agents) only apply to libraries using a legacy agent. If you’re using the current generation agent (e.g. Plex Movie or Plex TV Series), you’ll find the agent options in the Advanced tab when editing the library in question.
If neither automatic nor manual matching find any data, there could be a network problem (e.g. some firewall or security tools blocking access to the Plex backend, bad DNS failing to resolve Plex backend addresses…). Your server logs should show if there’s a communication issue.
This might be related but could be a major issue of its own. Can you verify if your server’s database might have been corrupted (alternative to the support article linked below, database corruption will also show in your server logs, e.g. some “malformed database” statements)? https://support.plex.tv/articles/repair-a-corrupted-database/
Sometimes this might however be more of a temporary lock-up that could be overcome by restarting the server or attempting to optimize your server’s database (Settings > [Server Name] > Manage > Troubleshooting > Optimize Database).
That part is weird… I guess those are actually different movie and tv show libraries (and not 2 movie libraries you simply named “movies” and “tv”). Sorry – just clarifying, because that shouldn’t be the case.
The Plex Media Agent is now working again and the same goes for subtitle search.
Go to your server’s dashboard and check for an update. Install update if necessary and reboot the server.

There was an error being generated. I’m trying to narrow down as to if there is a database corruption as it seems the plugin for the agent is not being found.
Network tests show that the server is having issues resolving Plex.tv, but all of my tests show that the network and DNS are fine.
Checking for updates inside prior to rebooting the container — I did see there was a PMS update. Not sure if there was a roll back, but in rebooting the Docker, I didn’t see anything in the Docker logs about PMS being updated or rolled back.
