Plex Agent Not Working At All

I am running PMS on Windows 10 and today realised that any new added TV Shows and Movies would not match.

When I tried to manually fix the match for each show, any search parameters would only yield “No Match Found” error regardless of how many times I tried.

Also, it’s impossible to choose any other agent apart from “Plex Series” which I do believe is broken on the backend.

Plex please fix this.

Working fine here.
It’s probably worth to look at your server logs to see if there’s a simple issue with your network setup (e.g. a bad DNS resulting in PMS / the agent to contact the metadata backend.

I’m having the same issue of matching not working. If I go into Edit Library and change the agent to The Movie Database or TheTVDB, it seems to match the unmatched items, but it doesn’t match any of them by default, and I can’t Fix Match, because it always returns no results. This just started happening in the past few weeks and always worked fine previously. I’ve attached my log files. I tried doing a match right before grabbing the logs.

This has been an on-going issue for a couple of days now. My plex agents have been working whenever they feel like but most times I get a “no matches found” message. Magically they seemed to be working today.

Here’s another thread.

I am also having the same issue and found the same solution as patellison42. I had to move to the agent to The Movie Database or TVDB in order for items to be able to match properly. I changed my DNS to confirm if that was the issue, and it was not. I believe this is an issue on Plex’s side of things.

It is definitely an issue on Plex’s agent’s part. I, also, function fine if I go to The Movie Database. It’s only when I go to the Plex Agent that all my metadata takes a dump. And, these are on movies that are currently full of metadata originally from Plex Agent - just a “refresh of metadata” got hit and wiped it all out. Plex needs to address this.

Also, I’m having issues with Plex agents not seeing all the contents of the libraries I create.
Previous versions had no issues, but now that I’ve upgraded, it’s not working right. This is very frustrating!

Same problem here. For a few weeks now (I suspect since I last updated Plex), the Plex agent hasn’t identified any movies or TV shows.

I hope they fix this soon.

Since the whole Plex has been updated, the metadata for new content doesn’t work, I don’t understand what’s happening. A lot of things are broken, it’s not enough that on android devices they deleted the plex Hungarian menu

This has been happening to my set up. Unraid+official docker PMS.

it has been down today yet when i forced an entire meta refresh it worked yet single movie matching immediately responds with “no found”

highly doubt this is DNS related as nothing has changed on my end.

To close the loop, this is now working. Nothing has been changed on my end. It has now happened repeatedly.

It would be nice if there was a more informative error vs the generic - “not found”

Here is a longer chain around this issue. Seems like they’ve narrowed it down to three potential things.

This just started happening to me after the latest plex upgrade ( 1.41.8.9834). If I switch to The Movie Database, it works fine.

And now it is happening to me. They really need to get on the stick, Plex is dropping a lot of balls lately.

…and the issue continues. (I just changed my agents back to THETVDB and The Movie Database in order to fix unmatchable additions.)
