I have an issue with my library. Plex will randomly(?) match Madagascar 3 to my movies. Usually, it will keep the same movie title, but all the data is for Madagascar 3. Occasionally, it will actually title movies as Madagascar 3 and then stack multiple movies. Any ideas on a fix?

Had a similar problem a while ago, and it had to do with the agents settings. I don’t remember what the answer was. But I’d start there. What agent are you using for your automatic matching?
I’ll have to copy the XML the next time it happens again. It just happened for Girl in the Box but I had already fixed it before I came back to check the post. As for the agent, I’m not sure what that is, or where it would be in the settings.
I’ve seen this reported elsewhere on the forum and the root cause on that thread was that users were putting incomplete files (downloading, ripping from disc etc) directly into the catalog structure where Plex scanned said incomplete files. Never let Plex scan incomplete files! Regardless of reason, complete the action to create said media file and then move it to a catalog visible from Plex perspective.
