Matching sometimes don't set the title and poster

For quite some time I have had a very strange issue. Sometimes when the media is matched it will populate he summary, the information about the director, actors etc. But there will be no poster only a screenshot from the video file and the name will not be set correctly. Instead it seems to just keep the file name (or parts of it). For instance Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Scarecrow could be something like ScoobyDoo.and.the.Spooky.Scarecrow.2013.1080p (which is part of my naming scheme of all files… even those that match fine).

What could be causing this? And why does some of the information about the movie get fetched but the name etc left the way it is and the poster skipped?

Sounds like you have a case of bad embedded metadata (with a library configured to prefer embedded metadata).
You might want to check if the files have some weird attachments / embedded artwork that might cause some hiccup with your posters.

Thanx… deselecting “use local assets” and “use local metadata” and refreshing the metadata fixed it.
