Plex installed on multiple Roku TVs, working fine for months.
Starting yesterday, as always, newly added shows appear on the home screen under Recently Added in TV shows. However, when I click on the image, I go to that show but the new episode doesn’t appear. For example, let’s says I have 6 existing episodes. I just added ep 7, it shows in the Recently Added, when I click it on ep 7 image, it takes me to ep 1, I see the previous 6 episodes, but not ep 7.
If I instead go to the TV Shows category and then choose Library and launch from there, no problem. It’s only when I try to launch from Recently Added.
Uninstalled the app, re-installed, it didn’t seem to delete the data as I didn’t have to sign in again after reinstalling.
Anyone ever see this, or better yet, have a fix? It’s happening on multiple TVs so doesn’t seem to be a device issue.
I’m having this same problem on a Roku Streaming Stick+. This only starting happening within the past month or so. The show is appearing in “Continue Watching”. I can get to that same episode from Plex Web, but the Roku will not recognize it.
Actually, it is also not working on my LG TV WebOS version of Plex.
In addition, unlike the other report, I cannot access the episode via the TV Shows > Library view. The shows do not appear in the list of episodes for the season.
Plex Web from the browser and the iOS app both show the episodes that do not show up on Roku or WebOS.
The only work around I’ve found so far is to very briefly play one of the older episodes and then back out all the way to the Plex dashboard. Afterwards following the On Deck episode will behave as expected for the new episode.
I am having the same problem on a TCL Roku TV. The new episode shows on continue watching, but when I click it just shows older episodes. The only way I can get them to play is launching remotely from the web version. Then they play fine. Any updates on a fix?
