Samsung smart tv sees media but refuses to play anything

So i upgraded my tv to a smart tv and went for a model which supported plex.

So far really disappointing result.
I can load plex fine and it shows all my media files.

Running a samsung UE50MU6100
Tizen 3.0
plex app 3.1.0 (3.8.0)
Latest plex media server update as of today 10/12/17

Network ports forwarded to 32400 and firewall off.
i can access my media fine from a firestick plex app and my laptop.
media can also be accessed from outside the network fine just not from the samsung .

Swapped router too with no result.
As a side note trailers will not play on any device it reports connection to the server has been lost yet goes on to play media fine from the firestick.??

The only error i get is a server connection error after it times out.
But there’s no problem with the server as it’s working fine on all other platforms.

I get an error that says theres no connection to the server when i try to play a trailer on any platform but the media plays fine.

Try disabling secure network on the Plex server.

It’s not https and allow fallback to non secure on same network is enabled.

If there’s another way I would be great full of how to disable.

No idea :frowning: I know several devices require the secure connections to be disabled to run

Enable logging in the Plex app, then shut down your Plex server, wait one minute, start it, wait two minutes, initiate playback on your TV’s Plex app, wait until the problem happens, then gather your Plex server logs via settings -> help and then upload them here. Make sure to disable logging in the Plex app after you gather the logs.
