Media Server deadlocks periodically

Server Version#: v.1.41.6.9685-d301f511a
Player Version#: Multiple players/apps, all up to date

I have a Beelink Mini PC S12 Pro Intel 12th N100 with 16GB RAM running the latest version of PMS with Prowlarr, Radarr, and Sonarr running as well. I’m running Mullvad VPN with split tunneling turned on to exclude PMS from the VPN. I have lifetime Plex Pass.

For the past few months I’ve had no issues and it’s been running great. The past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that after a period of down time (no client connected/no one actively watching), the server hangs and I’m unable to access it on the client side (local connection or remote). I end up having to manually restart the mini PC for the server to be seen and accessed.

I went through the power options on the mini pc and saw that hibernate was turned on as well as a few other options. I turned every option off in the power options so that it never sleeps or anything, and also did the same for all network adapters (it’s connected via ethernet).

Before adjusting the power options, the server was completely inaccessible, with the client side apps saying “no connection to server” or something along those lines. After adjusting the power options, I noticed the server was accessible and metadata was showing (the movies/tv titles and thumbnails, etc.) on the client side (local connection), but when I click to watch something I get a spinning wheel and then a popup saying it can’t connect. So again, the only thing that solves it is a restart.

I’ve tried falling back to a previous PMS version, no luck.

Sometimes I try to manually restart just Plex by clicking exit in the task bar and it doesn’t even close, and it sometimes ends up freezing windows explorer or even the entire OS.

Windows 11 OS is up to date. Client apps up to date. Nothing really jumps out in Windows event viewer.

So I’m at a loss. The biggest thing is that this worked flawlessly a few weeks ago. Any ideas?
