Media Server does not recognise server after installation

Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.31.1.6733
Player Version#: Version 1.64.2.3546-5107ec40 (“version”: “4.101.1”,)

After having to create a new media server on another host and disabling original PMS (due to RMA on hardware not related to this issue) the new windows PMS is not recognised in the browser from local host or remote plex connection. Keeps asking to ‘Get Plex Media Server’ when clicking on “+ Your Media”.

I have had instances in the past where i have lost the media server but always able to either recreate or find it again. This is the first time where the server itself is not recognised on the host pc.

I have:
Uninstalled PMS app, with restart to finalise uninstall.
Run CCleaner to remove registry entries
Reinstalled PMS app, with restart to finalise uninstall.
No change to situation.

Observation from Plex player:
Player still looks for the old PMS even after removed from authorised Devices prior to installing the plex player app most recently.

I am unable to generate logs as that option is not available, as per server functionality missing.
I only have access to debug logs in the client view.

Is my PMS looking to a client config file or similar?

You appear to have two accounts. This one and one without a Plex Pass. The other one which has servers it has claimed were signed in with “sign in with google” about an hour ago.

If you sign into the web app ( or desktop app) with a different account which the sever is not claimed or shared then that “add your media” is what you will see.

If you look at your server logs after a server restart somewhere near beginning logs it should show what account it is signing in with. I would fist try signing into web or player app with that other account then unclaim the server in settings if that turns out to be it. or you can do this https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

Thanks @BigWheel , i have had a quick look and restarted the PMS to be sure.

Confirmed both client and server are logging in with the ‘hash26’ account.
Still unable to verify the server logs as that functionality is not available

Checking Registry:
Confirmed PlexOnlineUsername is the other account (can we delete that?)
Confirmed PlexOnlineUsername is the other account.
Uninstalled Plex, Updated reg entry, resintalled plex. No change.
Uninstalled Plex, Deleted Reg entry for plex media server, reinstalled Plex.
Default Login now hash26
Able to add libraries as previously.
Confirmed PMS working normally.
Confirmed Plex player is working normally.

Are we able to delete that other non plex pass account please?

Side note: never do that. It does more harm than good and will cause issues for you in the future.
