Media Server Intermittent Off Line - IOS Client

Has been off line for a while, had some time to look into it today. Seems to work on the same flat network some times but not off network.

It all had been working fine in the past around October time frame, two changes happened.

  1. New PC to replace Windows 10
  2. Created a new Media Server, deleted old one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remote access is not possible without a “Plex Pass” or a “Remote Watch Pass”.

Are you sure about the version number of your mobile Plex client? It looks quite outdated.

The client is now 2026.0.1

I attempted to access Photos and Plex Amp and it said it was off line. Netstat showed the server listening on 32400 and 32401, local client never has an issue.

I attempted to access my Plex Movies and it came right up and now the Photos and Amp apps work. This is the intermittent issue I’m experiencing…

Is a Plex Pass or Remote Watch Pass needed for direct remote access?

I would consider to obtaining a pass but seems the local functionality is unreliable. Not sure if remote would also have issues…

I’m not sure what you are saying.

You cannot test remote access without a Pass. So, to deduce from this fact that it won’t be reliable is a bit illogical.
