I’ve been using plex for 2 months now and it worked perfectly but 2 weeks ago my remote acces suddenly stopped working. When I go to the settings it says that the remote acces is available but when I try to acces my PMS remotely it doesn’t work. I have the latest version on both my PMS and Plex app and I have a plex pass. Can somebody help me please
You’re going to need to provide more info. Are you using a manual port or automatic? If manual, have you verified your port forwarding rules are pointing to the right IP and port for your server. If automatic, is UPnP enabled in your router? Have you checked your Windows firewall to make sure that hasn’t changed?
I am using an automatic port. I tried to go with a manual one when it stopped working but it didn’t solved the problem. I enabled UPnP since the begining and tried to disable it and then enable again but it didn’t work either. I also disabled my firewall to see if something was going to change but it don’t. I don’t know what to do anymore. Everything was working fine 2 weeks ago…
Plex media server is open and works perfectly on my local network. The only thing that don’t work is my remote acces. My connection hasn’t changed, it is still private because it is on my computer at home.
Can you please check if I have some cert issues, and reset them, or give me some pointers how to resolve this issue.
Everything was working for more then a year, but after update it just stopped.
Same here. Changed literally nothing in my network or Plex settings, but all of a sudden I can’t access it outside my network or watch together with a friend.
Same issues here. Can’t access from outside of network. Has worked fine for years, stopped a few weeks ago. I’m on Cox cable, using ipfire as a firewall with manually assigned port.
Let’s see if 3 of us will be ignored too. I raised this issue here and there in different topics, but the plex team continue ignoring me. @anon18523487
@jfaynik@Lazyonekanobi maybe if you adopt my way of annoying plex people with the same question in different forum topics we’ll finally get a response. don’t know how is it for you guys, but my lifetime pass doing its job only from the local network, which to me personally is kind of a big deal. I’m rarely at home and now must to use a private VPN to access to my content
Same here, I have a plex pass but can’t totally use it the main reason why I paid for the plex pass was to use it outside my home with my phone or other device
yes man, overall such a good idea having your home lib on the palm of your hand whenever you need it. but so pity that the implementation is actually totally on their side and despite the fact that you paid specifically for that servicethe real money you can suddenly don’t have it
