Media Server won't work after install

Server Version#: 1.18.0
I have Windows 10, all updates. I have downloaded and installed Plex Media Server. When I open the server through the icon in the system tray it opens to my account page. When I try to add my media, I get a message that I need to add the Media Server. I go through downloading the Media Server and installing. It all seems to go fine. It tells me setup was successful. I reopen Plex through the tray icon, but when I try to add my own media I get the message that I need to get the Plex media server again. I also have a TiVo Bolt, and while I was able to pair the devices, the TiVo app tells me it can’t connect to the media server. I am at a loss at what to do.

Running Hackintosh, same issue. I don’t even see an Add Library tab on the left hand side. I see Add Media, and it just leads me back into the loop of installing Plex Media Server again.

Same problem. Plex has worked for years and now all my media missing and can’t add any media. Just like OP stated. I’m stuck in a loop of being asked to add the media server…

Still nothing. No server. I use the tray icon to open web ui. There is no way to add media.

I select your media on left side. It says get plex media server which directs to download the server. I install server and try again but stuck in a loop…

Delete plex in registry. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.

Thank you this solved my issue.
