is
That the same as the NASipAddress:32400/web ?
example: 192.168.1.10:32400/web
It was using my quickconnect name but I changed it to the default DNS and it doesnt connect. I used my LAN-1 connection Ip and it connected to Plex. I signed back in and see my NAS but I see a âNo soup for you errorâ
Donât use quick connect.
Open the LAN IP of the Syno when on the local LAN.
When remote, after configuration is complete, you can then access by other means.
Yes, Ive done that. It asked me to claim the server and I did. I see it back in my authorized devices but I cant access any of the settings
What are the LAN IP addresses in use here?
IP of the syno (there are multiple so which is the Default Gateway )
IP of your computer youâre accessing from
192.168.1.4 - Syno
108.18.117.247 - My IP
youâll need perform some âsurgeryâ on the ownership.
Itâs forgotten you are the owner.
Start here and see if this gets you back in control of the server
Thank you! Going through now. I dont see 1. Plex share / Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server. Any idea how I can get it to show up? I do see a shared folder for Plex
Go to:
Control Panel - Shared Folders - highlight the Plex share - EDIT - Permissions tab
Give yourself R/W permission.
OK.
Now it will appear in File Station.
Hey Hey, so I went through the rest of the instructions and got this message. After selecting âClaim this serverâ, it disappears again. Thoughts?
Thank you @trumpy81
I did what you suggested. i can see my NAS now but I am not able to access any content. I see this error.
Much Much Appreciated @trumpy81 and @ChuckPa
Im back in business. Plex does say there is an update now. After all this, Iâm not trying to go backwards. What is the best way to install manually? Ive done the install before, not sure why its saying there is another update.
In the settings, you can select the Update Channel.
Itâs probably better to stay with Public in the long run.
You wonât be annoyed to update.
Installing manually is always done through Package Center -> Manual Install (upper right) after downloading the SPK from https://plex.tv/downloads.
