MetaData for Fast n Loud

Server Version#: 1.16.6.1592
Player Version#: Web

Im having an issue with the TV Show Fast n Loud. The TVDB and Plex match for Season and Episode Numbering. But the Name/Description of the Episodes for Season 12 (I havent checked the others) is incorrect. Its listing the OLD Season 12 Data instead on the current Season 12. Name/Description on TVDB/MovieDB are identical so I dont know where this data is coming from. The data from TVDB and MovieDB have been set this way since before I started this server. So the Name/Description is coming from elsewhere.

What does this mean?
Does this show have 2x season 12?
How can it have an “old” season 12 and a “new” season 12?

Discovery reorganized the seasons a couple of years ago. According to Discovery the show is on Season 15 now. However since TVDB does not propogate season reorganizations. TVDB lists the current season as season 12.

Season 12 Episode names/description on TVDB match current season 15 on discovery.

Season 12 Episode names/description in Plex match old season 12 on discovery.

Clear your Plex agent caches.

Deleted the cache folders and rescanned the metadata for that show however its still showing the same.

Is there any reason the metadata would be pulled from imdb?

Metadata for tv shows in Plex are not pulled from IMDb.

Are your files in mp4/m4v format? If so, they may contain the wrong metadata themselves.

Is your show perhaps matched to the TheMovieDatabase instead?
(You can verify by looking at the Plex XML info of any episode. Inspect the content of the guid="..." property.)

It was an issue from when I first set up the server. Episode info was being pulled from TheMovieDB originally as TVDB was down. After switching to TVDB, I needed to delete the cache, move the files out of the TV folder, Scan the folder, empty trash, re’add and rescan.

Thanks for your help. You pointed me on the right path.

An alternative to this procedure would’ve been ‘Fix Match’. It allows you to select a different metadata source when you click on ‘Search Options’.

I learned something new today. I didnt know that existed. Thanks again
