Metadata in wrong language loaded

Hello,

Since a few weeks some of my new added movies have English metadata instead of German. The curious thing is that the matching window shows the correct German title, but after confirming this it switches to English. And this only for a new movies, most are correct.
Here are a new screenshots:

Here still the correct German movie title:

And then English:

Server Version: 1.23.1.4602

Is there any way to check why this happens? Any way to force Plex Server to load the correct language?

Thanks and regards,
Martin

Check the properties of your Plex movie library. On the “Advanced” tab, the check box “Prefer local metadata” must be NOT checked.

There is no such option. I’m using the “Plex Movie Scanner” with “The Movie Database Agent”.

If you are still on the old Python-based agents, you might wanna look in
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
and make sure that the line “Local Media Assets” is NOT above of the line “The Movie Database”.
Otherwise embedded “Title” meta tags in your mp4 files are preferred over Plex’s own metadata.

Checked the settings. Also the movie itself has no embedded meta data (self encoded with FFmpeg).
The shown title and description are the text from TheMovieDatabase. But just in the wrong language.

Maybe it is time to convert to the new agent. The old ones are not going to receive any bugfixes now.

But keep in mind that the new one doesn’t support the old extensions, like the .nfo importer or the opensubtitles.org mass-downloader.

Is the MovieDatabase agent no longer supported?
Can I disable all other sources on the new Plex Movie Agent (so that it loads only data from TheMovieDatabase and not from IMDB or other sources)?

It won’t get any updates.

No.
You can configure some aspects in the properties of the library though.

Hmm, ok. So I will try an upgrade.
