Metadata not displaying on matched content

@leisuredave Ill repeat what I said above. Spend an hour using TMM and fix your naming schema, then all your problems will go away.

“If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}} as the new name format.”

Thanks I did download it, but it won’t run on my old mac mini (server) so I need to grab the NAS and connect it to my newer mac to run it but I appreciate it, it makes sense, just unfortunate that it completely omits the movies so I don’t know which ones they are, otherwise I could just manually fix them.

Renaming 400 movie folders doesn’t sound like a fun sunday

Look at 25 per day, rescan and in 15 day or so, you will be all sweet. :upside_down_face:

You can do that in about an hour with TMM.

Using TMM Id say spend 10-15 minutes, and then scan in 4-5 days.

You are correct… you all are correct with the year! Adding the year us fixing the movies I listed. Thank you guys all for the prompt responses!!

The funny thing I have never added Movie ID until I needed to do a Fix Match, but I’m not knocking it. I have found Year is generally enough if your Library is set to United States.

FYI I just did a small batch of movies matching/updating and renaming for 38 movies took me 2:30 (IE two minutes 30 seconds)

This appears to be the issue when I tested a few titles as suggested earlier. I will work with the program you suggested to fix my format! Thank you!

Just to make sure I am doing this right, I double click every movie is scrapes and manual enter a year in the details, then once completed I run the rename/cleanup ?

What I do is select 30-40 movies, press the Search & Scrape button, review the matches and fix what needs done. Then Run the Rename and Cleanup option. I would go into settings and make sure the File and folder rename settings are OK first though.

Is it automatically adding the imdb info? I don’t need to source that?

When you press the Search & Scrape button it goes out to the movieDB and IMDB and pulls the metadata you need, including the year, title, and IMDB ID.

I am having tons of issues with the artwork not showing up. It just started for me in the last couple days as well.

This needs a fix pronto.

If its just art work might be related to Missing Book/Album covers - #4 by dbirch

Its movies and tv shows that I hit refresh metadata and it was all gone!

I am on the 1.25.9.5673 beta release.

That just sounds like the scanner unmatched. What are some example file names?

Arrow - S06E23 - Life Sentence

it used to have tons of different posters to choose from after the metadata was refreshed and now it gets one from where ever it gets it and there are zero options under poster or background or banner.
