@leisuredave Ill repeat what I said above. Spend an hour using TMM and fix your naming schema, then all your problems will go away.
“If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use ${title} (${year}) {imdb-${imdb}} as the new name format.”
Thanks I did download it, but it won’t run on my old mac mini (server) so I need to grab the NAS and connect it to my newer mac to run it but I appreciate it, it makes sense, just unfortunate that it completely omits the movies so I don’t know which ones they are, otherwise I could just manually fix them.
The funny thing I have never added Movie ID until I needed to do a Fix Match, but I’m not knocking it. I have found Year is generally enough if your Library is set to United States.
Just to make sure I am doing this right, I double click every movie is scrapes and manual enter a year in the details, then once completed I run the rename/cleanup ?
What I do is select 30-40 movies, press the Search & Scrape button, review the matches and fix what needs done. Then Run the Rename and Cleanup option. I would go into settings and make sure the File and folder rename settings are OK first though.
it used to have tons of different posters to choose from after the metadata was refreshed and now it gets one from where ever it gets it and there are zero options under poster or background or banner.
