Hi, most of the time my movies and other shows are found through The movie database, but the metadata isn’t downloading. I recently found that if I unmatched the data and then quickly rematched then sometimes it would suddenly work again, my only idea is that I have to be quick enough to beat the auto match and do it myself but its unpredicatable.
can anyone help fix this problem and get plex server to auto download the metadata, without having to match and unmatch repeatedly until it just happens to work?
This happens for nearly all movies, and strangely it won’t work for Doctor who either
Hello and THANKS FOR PLEX!!
I recently had to replace my boot drive for my Plex server and by doing so I complete rebuilt my Plex Media server from scratch. When I first set up my original server the TVDB agent worked like a charm but now only about 50% of my metadata is loading. In addition only about 50% of the shows are recognized. I am using TVDB as my agent and a lot of time it says ‘downloading metadata…’ and then ‘loading metadata…’ but most of the shows show nothing. Some show text but no posters and others show nothing at all. I rebuilt my server late in the evening of 03/30/2016
Server Specs: Win 7 Ultimate SP1, AMD Phenom 4 X2 965 Black Edition, 8 GB RAM, 25 TB HD space.
Please help! After using Plex Flawlessly for almost six months now I am definitely spoiled!
This is happening to me starting last night. I just rebuilt my server and was importing all of the data over the last week as I had to sort through all my files. I was doing a huge copy and everything was working. Then I woke up today, the copy is completed by the last 30 or so shows I copied don’t have metadata. If I do a “Fix Incorrect Match”, it finds the show but fails to download any metadata.
It looks like there’s another problem with the metadata caching server.
