This started about week or so ago, but when I add movies to the plex server, the server is not updating the metadata, posters etc for the file. It will create a generic a generic poster and backdrop from the movies and nothing else. I went through the settings dozens of times, I have poured through the forums looking to see if I can resolve it, but I have not been able to.
Attached is the logs from the server can someone take a look and see what I have broken?
Thanks,
Dewayne
Try this:
#1
Go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under
Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
#2
Then clean the agent caches:
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202967376-Clearing-Plugin-Channel-Agent-HTTP-Caches
#3
then perform the Plex Dance with one affected movie and fetch fresh server logs afterwards
I have not had a chance to fully reboot all the systems, but will do that later today, I did clear all the idx and sub files from the library. I also was able to do all the suggestions that OttoKerner made and I have the same results. I will also try to load on a different machine to see if it may be a network issue. Below are the logs after I did the suggestions. On the Plex webpage this is what I see:

Thank you for all your help and suggestions.
Did you disable IPv6 support?
If not, do it.
Both in Plex
(Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’)
and remove it from your network adapter in the network settings of Windows
Afterwards restart Plex server

Plex only supports .srt, .ssa (.ass), smi or webvtt subtitles.
WOW… Back up here. That’s not entirely true. PLEX does support IDX/SUB & SUP subtitles. I use them all the time. Are you suggesting that PLEX can not handle these subtitles as an external file format? That may be true but PLEX does support them embedded into the file.

I referred to this document: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200471133-Adding-Local-Subtitles-to-Your-Media
Which states:
Other formats such as VOBSUB, PGS, etc. may work on some Plex apps but not all. For almost all apps, both VOBSUB and PGS subtitles will require the video be transcoded to “burned in” the subtitles for streaming.
LOL! The term support
Makes me laugh.
