Ive updated to the latest sever Version 1,25,4,5468 on Mac
the following issues followed –
The sever started but only displayed the logo no sign in or sign up
fix removed -~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/ ~/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer/ reinstall Plex
once this was done i was able to sign in i had to reset up my libarys again
from here the metadata issue took of my libary and basicaly distroyed my set up
i have used file bot and named all series correctly however metadata is selecting mullitple files and linking them eg Battlestar Galatica is now linked to 5 other files i should not be linked to the only thing inside each file that is the same is they are 1x01 of that series under info all the files have different name other than this , Metadata has linked them all together so now when i want to watch Battlestar Galactica (2003) 1x01 Miniseries it actually plays Caprica/Galactica 1x01 ( very annoying) fix for his is to go in and remove all the numbers added to each series by file bot which named the series using TVDB which is the same as Plex so why the issue ?
A fix for this issue would be able to edit the info area and remove the info the metadata linked that is incorrect if not plex need to give us better options to edit the metadata other than go to each file and editing as it was already correctly named before plex metadata scanned it

1x01 = Not correct.

Correct:

/TV Shows  <-- Folder added to TV Show library.  Name unimportant.
../Battlestar Galactica (2003) {tvdb-73545} <-- TVDB ID optional, but helpful
..../Season 01 <-- "Season" in English.  Two digits for season number.
....../Battlestar Galactica (2003) - s01e01.ext  <-- ext = mkv/mp4/etc

From the Plex documentation: The most important bit in the file name is the appropriate season and episode number notation s02e17 which in this example means Season 2 Episode 17.

If desired, you can add the episode name after sXXeYY (see Plex docs). However, Plex ignores that information and uses its online database to pull episode name and other such information.

Rename your shows via Plex recommendations. Then Plex Dance the shows to clear incorrect information from the Plex database.

Steps:

  1. Remove all conflicting shows from Plex (i.e. move them where they cannot be seen by the Plex scanners).
  2. Perform steps 2 to 4 of the Plex Dance.
  3. Rename the shows appropriately.
  4. Return them one at a time to the Plex library. Manually scan the library if Plex does not do so automatically. Wait for Plex to finish scanning and downloading metadata before adding another show.
