Loaded in Battle star galactica 2004 all 4 seasons and it will only name the episodes of season 1. it’s matched right and I’ve set the agent to tvdb. i even added the tvdb show code in the folder name. nothing i do works. Everything is named properly, this really shouldn’t be happening.
Can you tell how it is named/organized.
Are the other episodes showing up? are they Mp4s that possibly have embedded metadata that is being used?
they are mkv, they are named s01e01 and so on each in season folders
What is the exact file name? can you perform a scan and upload your server logs?
very typical naming convention, nothing unusual, not my first tv series…

… and so on
the log shows it’s loading metadata for all the seasons. still no episode names except for season 1… how odd.
It can take plex a bit to process the metadata and populate the library, give it a bit and lets see what happens.

I think I might know what may have happened. TMDB has two entries for show. One with just mini series ( treated as season one) and one with all the seasons. So we have two entries as well
Can you do a fix match on the show and in the results choose the one that says “Battlestar Galactica (2003)” with the blue poster, rather than the red one that just says Battlestar Galactica.
The 2003 entry is what i already chose, it did choose the mini series first and i changed it.
ok so next question is what Episode Ordering do you have selected for that show. it might be left on Library Default but I would try implicitly selecting one of the others and refreshing metadata for that show.
I just added renamed some test files to my test server for seasons 1 and 2 they both got metadata fine when choosing the 2003 version.
Might have to see server logs after refreshing metadata for the show. This is weird.
You got it! It was set to tvdb absolute, i changed it back to library default. thanks for figuring it out.
ah. absolute order would only be a single huge season so makes sense that would happen.
